Plot

After her previous confrontation with Slade, Raven starts wondering why he came back. After hearing theories from the Titans about the "S" on Slade's forehead, another distress call is made about none other than Slade.

The Titans rush to the scene only get beaten and have another message delivered: The "S" is the mark of the Scath and there's something at the library that provides even more information about Raven's destiny. The Titans go to the ancient library only to find another Scath that leads to a chamber that speaks of the prophecy and the "gem."

Azarath

The dimension of Azarath

Shocked by what's happening, Raven travels to Azarath to speak with her mother Arella only to see it's an illusion and that Trigon has already disposed of the city. Back at the library, the Titans find several more Scath that lead to chamber where Slade awaits. He claims that the "gem" is missing and it will open the portal to bring Trigon to the mortal world.
Raven shows up, glowing with the mark of Scath, and beats Slade down. The Titans are shocked at Raven's appearance and she finally tells them her dark destiny only for them to promise the end of the world will never happen. Slade informs Trigon that the prophecy has been foretold which he then says that Slade may one day "reclaim what he lost" if he continues to prove himself.
