Trivia[]
- Season Five is set one year after the events of The End - Part 3 and three years after Terra's "death"
- The season is often compared by fans to the “Justice League: Unlimited” series, due to its overstuff of heroes and villains.
- Season 5 episode 11 has a wonderful Easter egg. In the intro The Brain sits with Monsieur Mallah in front of a chess board. The Brain says in his robotic voice, “Shall we play a game.” This line and computerized voice pays homage to the 1983 near-apocalyptic classic movie “War Games” starring Matthew Broderick, Dabney Coleman, and Ally Sheedy. Additionally, in the movie when Broderick’s character suggests they play Global Thermal Nuclear War, the computer asks “Wouldn’t you prefer a good game of chess?” The very game that The Brain and Monsieur Mallah are getting ready to play.
