Please add more correct information to this.

Revision as of 05:15, 7 February 2016

I think someone should cut the Power and Abilities section much shorter than it is now. This topic doesn't need too much description, or else you'd have to draw up a separate site for all this stuff.

I have to agree with you, we don´t need so much details.

I think details are better they're more into depth. I don't like short summaries.

I'm going to go ahead and do that. Some of the listed stuff isn't even powers; such as her knowing arcane lore. Other stuff is just the same power used in different forms (such as her physical barriers being used both as a shield and as a weapon.

Quotes?

Doesn't anybody think we should make a quote section for each character and post quotes that they say, or something that describes their personality? Please let me know. Princess Libra 05:58, April 19, 2010 (UTC)Princess Libra

Yeah, I think we should, since there is a lot of funny and witty lines in the show111.68.59.99 09:52, August 22, 2012 (UTC) Wikia Contributer

White Raven

Does anyone object to making another page called White Raven, and move most of the White Raven information into it? The White Raven stuff does take up a lot of space, and the article is messed up due to continuous switching between Raven and White Raven. Feel free to voice your opinions. Thanks! --Saiou (talk) 07:32, September 1, 2010 (UTC)

No, it's pretty big and unwieldy. I think it having its own page is perfectly fine. so long as that page doesn't look too stubby. --OzzMan 12:03, September 1, 2010 (UTC)

Alright, it is done. However, anyone who views Raven's page or the White Raven's, and finds an issue with it, please feel free to talk about it with me on my talk page. Also, I may need help fixing the White Raven page, as most of the information is WAY too messy and not easily understandable. Hopefully, summarizing it can help with improving the article. Thank you! --Saiou (talk) 13:06, September 1, 2010 (UTC)

beastboy/raven did not have a romantic relationship and the show

someone put that they have had a romantic relationship and the show while they have not this is what they wrote on raven page raven/beastboy C Raven and Beast Boy are in a relationship with eachother. In the animated series, Beast Boy doesn't like it when Aqualad steps in to the picture that never happen the show please remove it thank you. (Sonicwave567)

  • Thanks for pointing that out. Fixed it.--OzzMan 05:48, January 2, 2012 (UTC)

Oh, also, On Beast Boy's page is says that it is VERY likely that they have a romantic relationship, and in the friends section it says Raven (Possible Love interest) when no such things was hinted. Please fix that to because there is an equal amount of chance that she likes robin as much as beast boy111.68.59.99 09:52, August 22, 2012 (UTC) Wikia Contributer

Real name?

I do not remember which episode where they stated Raven's real name is Rachel Roth. In which one did they?

68.191.143.151 01:27, June 21, 2012 (UTC)BlueSkinnyJeans

They didn't. It's only in the comic books.

Lavaster 01:00, July 18, 2012 (UTC)

So is it safe to assume that her real name is actually Rachel/Raven Roth (so I may be able to add it to her page again)? Because on other character pages, their real names (in the original DC comics) are stated (e.g.: Starfire = Koriand'r, Cyborg = Victor Stone, Robin = Richard Grayson, Beast Boy = Garfield Logan, Terra = Tara Markov, Kole = Kole Weathers, Argent = Antonia Monetti, Aqualad = Garth, Speedy = Roy Harper, Bumblebee = Karen Beecher, Jericho = Joseph Wilson, Blackfire = Komand'r, etc.).

However, OzzMan changed her real name back to simply Raven (I was the one who added Roth) the last time he edited this article so maybe not. . .

AndreanaWriting (talk) 13:50, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

A lot of the Titans did have their names confirmed by various sources. Galfore refers to Starfire as Koriand'r when greeting her in Tamaranean, Robin is clearly Dick Grayson, Terra and I think Beast Boy were named in the GO! comics. Anyone else whose named isn't revealed at some point in the show or in GO!, though, should have their real name listed as just their superhero name. Since Raven's own mother referred to her as Raven, there's no reason to think her name is anything else.--OzzMan (talk) 14:18, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
Raven's Real name is Raven Roth. When passing for a civilian in the original comics, she adopted the name Rachel. 111.68.59.99 09:52, August 22, 2012 (UTC) Wikia Contributer

Falsified Information?

I believe there may be some falsified information in several places on this page. In at least two instances, a love interest, not verified, or even brought up in any official media I'm aware of, is stated."She is also in love with an unknown Titan that hasn't been shown in the series, Luminera Mickey Hikaru. Whom is a lady guardian." What is the source for this? Saalocin (talk) 07:06, February 16, 2014 (UTC)

Likes

On the thing where it says likes, there's Beast Boy but that was not proven in the TV series only the original DC comics, so if I'm wrong,  please don't hesitate to tell me, but if I'm right please fix it,AngelGoneBad (talk) 14:30, April 19, 2014 (UTC)AngelGoneBad

My Comment

Oh yay I'm gonna be Raven for Halloween I'll post a picture after Halloween! She is my fave character! Galaxygirl979 (talk) 23:07, July 11, 2014 (UTC)

Nature of Robin and Raven's relationship

As the article correctly points out, Robin and Raven have a very close friendship. Indeed, to directly quote Robin from Teen Titans Go Issue #47, he regards her as being "Like the sister I never had." I wonder if it might be useful to use this quote in the article to summarize their relationship.Taurusrex (talk) 04:25, September 3, 2014 (UTC)

While you may think that the understand each other and are similar so that's why it is shippedPepsiB&B (talk) 00:54, September 4, 2014 (UTC)PepsiB&B

But what I meant was that Robin's point of view when it comes to Raven is that he sees her as a sororal figure. She's a sister as far as he's concerned. That said, Raven's perspective may be different, as shown in Teen Titans Go Issue #42, where Raven's emoticlones escaped her mirror. In that issue, Affection started out flirting with Goth Boy, who was annoyed enough to break the third wall by telling her she was annoying him in from of the other "cast members", then Beast Boy showed up and after that Affection was extremely flirtatious toward BB and continuously held his hand, but after he got her back to the tower, Affection was also flirtatious toward Robin telling him "we're not going steady, if you know what I mean" while still holding hands with BB (apparently Affection is far from monogamous in her interests). Robin's reaction, however, was far from reciprocal (in fact, the look on his face was one of abject terror). So Robin sees Raven as a sister, and hence has no romantic interest in her, but Raven may have a crush on Robin, albeit a less pronounced one than the ones she may have on Goth Boy and Beast Boy. It's also worth noting that while that issue shows Raven and Jericho going to the movies with Robin and Starfire, Affection did not interact with Jericho at all (which suggests that, if they were on a double date, he was little more than a date of convenience for whom she had no real romantic feelings). Taurusrex (talk) 17:19, September 12, 2014 (UTC)

It's also worth noting that the aforementioned issue of TTG keeps in line with Raven's romantic history from the "original" comics. That is to say, Jericho was her close friend who she never really had a relationship with but people often commented on them as if they were a couple (though a conversation Arella and Deathstroke had during the Titans Hunt arc confirmed that Raven and Jericho indeed were never a couple, although both Arella and Slade wanted them to be—Jericho's mother, on the other hand, preffered Kole). Robin (Dick Grayson—Nightwing by the time of the "original" comics) was the guy she had confused feelings about—at one point in the "original" comics, Raven was confused as to the diffence between romantic and platonic affection and thought she was romantically attracted to Nightwing, She then used her empathic powers to force him to be attracted to her (similar to the way she'd used them with Kid Flash from the beginning of the NTT series, although in that case she was merely using the romantic feelings she'd empathically planted in Wally to keep him on the team), until Starfire helped her sort out the difference between romantic and platonic love. Nightwing never had any romantic feelings for Raven other than the feelings Raven artificially created with her empathic powers. Beast Boy, on the other hand, was Raven's most stable love interest (which says a lot, considering they were like constantly on and off), although, like a decade before they were a couple, there was one point where the material suggests Dark Raven (her Trigon-influenced evil form) actually raped Beast Boy before planting a seed of Trigon within him and turning him evil too. And there was also a point early in Raven and Beast Boy's relationship where it was unknown whether Beast Boy genuinely had feelings for Raven or whether Raven had (unknowingly) used her empathic powers to make someone fall in love with her again (albeit, that was pretty much laid to rest as BB continued to have feelings for her even during the breaks in their relationship). All and all, Raven's romantic history from the "original" comics is confusing and quite dark at times, so it's probably good that they didn't delve very much into it in the cartoon and the cartoon-based comic. Taurusrex (talk) 17:44, September 12, 2014 (UTC)

I personally do not believe that Raven is evil. Just because she is half demon, doesn't mean she is evil. It seems that she does not entirely understand her own nature. Yes, she does have the demonic desire to hurt and destroy her enemies, and anyone who annoys her. But she also has the relatively peaceful nature of a human. If she found a balance between her human and demonic halfs, then she would probably be even more powerful. --Aang13 (talk) 19:10, October 11, 2014 (UTC)

This wiki is for the show.--OzzMan (talk) 21:43, April 23, 2015 (UTC)

A show that is based on comic book characters, you can't just change their back stories just because they have a show, Ravens real name is Rachel Roth, cyborgs is victor stone, and robin's is Richard Grayson, that's all fact.

PhantomPharaoh (talk) 21:50, April 23, 2015 (UTC)

DC changes backgrounds for the TV versions of their characters all the time. DCAU Tim Drake, Arrowverse Mia Dearden and Iris West, Gothamverse Oswald Cobblepot, etc. This is no exception.--OzzMan (talk) 21:56, April 23, 2015 (UTC)

That's not DC's doing, dc never changed their background, prove that DC changed their characters background for Cartoon Network, because all their backgrounds stayed the same to my knowledge.

Because these details you're referring to aren't in the show. Only things in the show have bearing in the show. End of discussion.--OzzMan (talk) 22:08, April 23, 2015 (UTC)
