The Giant Atomic Ray Transmuter, also known by the abbreviation G.A.R. Transmuter, is a transmutation weapon developed by Professor Chang.
Description[]
The G.A.R. Transmuter has the ability to turn any person into a giant monster, who in turn can destroy infrastructure. The weapon includes a "reverse button" where it can revert the effects of the weapon.
History[]
In issue #21 of Teen Titans Go!, Professor Chang tested the weapon on Beast Boy who became a giant monster, as a showcase for several other villains who are interested in purchasing the weapon. As Professor Chang was carrying out an auction on the weapon, he was apprehended by Robin and Speedy. They interrogated Chang on how to reverse the effects of the weapon, with Speedy threatening Chang to feed him to the giant monster. Beast Boy was eventually recovered with the weapon's "reverse" effect.
In issue #40, Professor Chang attempted to offer the weapon to the Sultan of Shahrazad, after being exposed by the Teen Titans to have cheated the Sultan large sums of money in exchange for a genie.
