―Bushido in Teen Titans Go!

Bushido is a superhero and a Honorary Titan.

Character history

Bushido's exact background is unknown. For his prowess with the sword and martial arts he became a target for the Brotherhood of Evil, who were preparing to eliminate young superheroes all around the world. In order to establish a world-wide network for mutual aid, Robin visited Bushido in Japan, just in time to aid him against a band of ninja assassins. After the enemy was beaten, Robin handed Bushido one of the Titans' communicators.

Right afterwards, however, the Brotherhood executed its plans, and Bushido was ambushed by Katarou. Despite having defeating multiple ninja's alone right before, he proved unable to take him down and was flashfrozen by Professor Chang, along with other captured Honorary Titans and Robin himself. However, some Titans did escape captivity and regrouped under Beast Boy's leadership to attack the Brotherhood's base, in the course of which the captured Honorary Titans were de-frozen by Más y Menos and quickly joined the fight; Bushido dealt out his share by slicing Atlas's leg off and jumping on Katarou, defeating them. After the successful completion of the fight, he is seen socializing with the other Titans in Titans Tower and later participating in apprehending Doctor Light.

He appeared in two issues of Teen Titans Go!

The first one was in issue #34 The Great Race. Bushido confronted Cheshire, who was trying to harm a body. Cheshire knocked him off of a building, but Kid Flash (who was in a race against Mas y Menos around the world), caught him, tied Chesire up, and ran back to the race. Bushido appeared again in issue #50 Graduation. Private H.I.V.E was leading a new army of abandoned kids because he was sick of being bossed around. Bushido contacted Robin (who had chicken pox so he couldn't fight), wondering what this was about. However, Bushido fought off a piece of the army who were looking for him. Then at the end, Bushido joined all the Titans who were ambushed.

Appearance

Bushido is a well-muscled Japanese male. His uniform consists of a sleeveless white shirt with pointed shoulder blades and long, black pants. He has a big collar similar to Katarou's which is blue on the inside, but the front of his collar is a black stripe which goes down to his belt. His belt is blue and carries his sword and scabbard, and he also wears long, black wristbands. Bushido wears simple, black sandals and his short, black, neatly trimmed hair is tied in a small ponytail. He looks like Samurai Jack without a white robe.

Personality

Bushido is a very respectful individual. After Robin handed him the communicator, he bowed, and in the issue Graduation, he used Japanese honorifics (domo and san). However, when fighting, he shows an aggressive side.

Powers and Abilities

Bushido has no known superpowers, as he is fully human, but is a master of the sword. His sword is made of an unknown but strong steel alloy which was capable of slicing through Atlas's leg. Also, Bushido uses this sword with amazing skill; he was able to defeat four ninjas at once. He also possesses extraordinary reflexes, and is also trained in unarmed martial arts styles and he is a very accomplished acrobat. He has shown to have extraordinary speed, agility, and strength for a human. Bushido is strong enough to send a grown man flying with just a punch. Bushido also seems to be experienced in hand-to-hand combat, proven in Calling All Titans and Titans Together.
