Teen Titans Season 4
10/10 When I first watched this season, I thought it was amazing, but upon my rewatch, this season can rival Season 2 as being my favorite in the series.
Plot: The fourth season revolves around Raven and her fear of her father, Trigon, returning and the prophecy from her birthday coming true.
Positives:
1. The Titans were amazing throughout the season, particularly Raven, who’s had the best arc in the series in my opinion. The prophecy of her being the daughter of Trigon and the portal needing to be opened is a remarkable storyline, along with the scene of her meeting her mother and having her regress into a child.
2. Trigon was a phenomenal villain; he was the first villain since Slade to be this cunning and evil. His actions were amazing, such as his control over Raven, taking away Slade’s powers, and his summoning when Raven sacrificed herself.
3. Slade’s return was utilized well. Having him team with Trigon only for him to be backstabbed was interesting, and I liked seeing him temporarily ally with the Titans.
4. The serious episodes were my favorite, better than the comedic ones, which weren’t that prevalent this season. Aside from the Raven arc, other episodes I want to highlight are The Quest, Troq, and Overdrive for having such emotional depth and character development.
5. The voice performances were outstanding. Kevin Michael Richardson’s performance as Trigon was magnificent, and seeing Ron Pearlman return as Slade was a joy.
6. The finale was incredible. The battle between Trigon and Raven was epic; seeing Raven regain her youth and defeat Trigon was satisfying, along with the speech about Trigon being an awful father.
7. The last scene with Robin telling Raven she was made to be a Titan was beautiful.
Negatives:

Overall, Season 4 is peak. I wasn’t feeling it that much on my initial watch, but when I watched it so many elements that went past my head became more clear, such as Trigon’s actions and the prophecy. Despite this, I like Season 2 a little more for having a better balance of serious and comedic episodes.
